Laugh or Cry!

With all the talk of Global Warming someone had to come up with something funny, and here it is. The caption had to do with our having to stop cutting down all of our trees and if we do not, then our poor dogs are in for a bad time of it. Reminds me of having a large family and one bathroom. How do they come up with such stuff.

A colorful lizard

A young 'peacock' hairdo. Both the lizard and the youngster are beautiful and colorful and pleased with themselves. All I can say is I am very happy I do not have to raise children today. I don't think I could stand up to the challenges. You have to admit it does take nerve to go out of the house with a peacock hairdo. Maybe it was for a special event, let's hope so. On second thought, it isn't all bad, the colors certainly are beautiful.

I did laugh when I first saw this because some one was clever enough to call to our attention what is going on with our 'first' family. Six, or is it eight vacations in less than two years . . . that has to be a first. Having twenty or more high paid helpers is bad enough, and another first, but taking seventy people to Spain and living high on the hog while your countrymen are out of work, losing their homes, and having problems just trying to exist. Some things are not right in our world when our own leaders show their true feelings and set such a poor example, it is time to think about the word 'change' and what our first family is doing about making 'changes' in their lives. I've been told many times, 'what goes around, comes around' maybe we will see wisdom and patriotism come out of the White House yet.

So today, say a prayer because it is good for you. Happy Birthday Jo, hope you celebrated in style. I'm sorry the original greeting didn't get to you on time. Hurricane Earl made it up the New England Coast and didn't stop long enough to visit Pauline and family much to their surprise. They were ready but it turned out to be a tropical storm leaving anticipation and excitement of a hurricane for the next one. It is the season and I am happy everything is ready in case the electricity goes out. I hope not as I'd miss my e-mails. My son, John, made it in last evening looking good and not too travel weary after a day in planes. We are going to go check out the Salmon Derby at the Port and feast on some. The honey-do list is short and if I am lucky my computer will be cleaned up and I'll be back again tomorrow. Go, have a great day, I know I will as two of my favorite children are here to make my day special. Find your niche and dig in. Hugs to all.
