It didn't take long to get this thought out and about but why would any one of us vote for Hillary Clinton who wheeled and dealed, then found a comfortable nitche and stood by while her husband played King Leison and she, Lady of Peace. Ah politics and its ugly head . . . Wouldn't it be nice if we had some one strong, honest and able true blue American who would put the United States of America First and Foremost. Pay attention to what is going on in our world . . . choose your next leaders with care.
The roads leading to our over night trip to Coos Bay was long as there are two areas where the Oregon Department of Road workers are earning their money. What a wonderful job they are doing making the roads smooth, and in one area cutting into the side of the mountain as the ocean side looks very precarious. We have had some big slides on Route 101, one of the busiest highways along the entire coast. The workers should be given a great ovation when this project is finished as they work in pea soup fog, misty mornings, sunshine and angry drivers. I heard we missed a 98 degree day here; what a shame! We walked the Mall and I have to tell you it is very disappointing to go into the stores like Macy, JCPenny, Ross and a few smaller stores, all with everything made everywhere but America. No quality, high prices, you would never think that the economy is as it is. You would think we all had big bucks to spend. The thrift stores have gone big time and are now pricing their wares as if they were a number one retail outfit. It is amazing how they marked the books, soft covers were fifty cents and up, but the hard backs were as marked which means they have a different price in the inside cover...$15 for a used hardback...I don't think so . . . I wont pay more than one dollar for a hard back and twenty five cents for a paper back or they get to keep them. I know, you can tell I didn't do much shopping, besides all I really wanted was to find a decent pair of shoes.
We just got in a short while ago and it is foggy here and cool. The house is still standing. The mail was in the box waiting patiently to be picked up and I had my coffee pot on within the first five minutes of getting the door open. I enjoyed the jaunt with my daughter Pat, who is great company and takes very good care of me . . . we have this mother/daughter thing worked out to perfection . . . maybe that is how come she pays on the other side of the casino . . .
So today, what is left of the rest of it, find something calming to do until quittting time. When you get home take time to call your best friend, the one who loves you warts and all. Make a date for an overnighter. They really are fun. Hugs to all.
