Clouds

If you didn't look up yesterday then you missed the wind clouds dancing around the sky. What a spectacular show they put on for us. I was lucky yesterday in that my friend Marge had some free time to go to lunch with me. We had plotted and planned to go to Gold Beach with another friend who came down with a touch of a sore throat so she had to stay home while we toddled down the road to the el-cheapo lunch ($3.00) at the casino. Of course before you leave the casino that hamburger, which was delicious, cost a bit more. Marge had not been to a casino in years and she was not overly excited about going into a smoke filled area as it bothers her eyes. Well, the new smoke free room worked well and she discovered that the machines no longer take coins but paper money. She gingerly put a dollar bill in one machine and it did nothing. She immediately said . . . 'this is boring' . . . until the little penguins started to float across her screen and her dollar bill suddenly got to five dollars and the next thing you know she had all of the wild cards, all five of them an impossible screen to see, and I didn't tell her had she been playing 'full tilt' she would have won the big money high up on the machine. Well she was happy with her twenty dollars, and I was happy for her. Meanwhile my machine took all my money and left me to 'fight' another day. When we left the casino we noticed the awesome skies and for awhile we rode through an area where the skies were clear and we wished we had stopped and taken pictures of the wind clouds. Well, one never loses hope, as we came up to the house and looked up our skies were magnificent as you can see in the pictures.
So today, let your imagination soar if you have wind clouds to enjoy. Take time out to look up and while your neck is bent in the right direction offer up a prayer or two for those folks waiting for hurricane "Earl" to visit. It sounds like he is bent on some destruction, maybe only a tree or two to uproot and be without electricity for awhile . . . oh my, what will those folks do if they cannot get on line. I'll miss them . . . my connectors to the outside world . . . I just hope "Earl" doesn't hang around very long and the sun comes out and changes their world, leaving them healthy and happy with a sky filled with wind clouds. Go carefully today, know I'm thinking of you. Hugs to all.
