I received an e mail with Maxine's comments on the economy and thought I'd share as she is one of my favorite 'smart' mouth ladies who can make anyone laugh out loud. It is really funny as her creator is a man who has taken the liberty to find the examples set by his mother and his aunts that he has made a lifetime career out of 'the truth' as they see it and he never lets us down. I have a friend or two who do not like Maxine but that is okay, we can't all have the same comedic tastes. So if you are not offened by anything Maxine says or does, check out the cartoons and have a chuckle or two.
My e mail was filled with some very good views on the politics of the day. Like each of you, I have my own thoughts as to what should or should not be done to save our country, not as it is, nor not as it is being 'changed' but like the changes in our own lives that took us so long to realize and know right from wrong.
So today, if you go to Macdonalds for lunch be sure and ask about the quarter ouncer, it may be all you can afford. Then again, maybe because of the economy they will double the size of their burger and let you have the whopper, whopper, a lot cheaper, and for those of you who do not go to MacDonalds peanutbutter and jelly still works. As for me I am going off to Crescent City and a trip to Walmart to see what kind of competition they give our Fred Meyers . . . some one has to. I'm really not in the market for anything special, but it gets me out of the door, away from town for a little ride and a chance to have fish and chips at the restaurant on the wharf where the sea lions bask in the bay. I'll take my camera just in case. Enjoy today and find something that makes you laugh out loud. Hugs to all.
