In a blink of an eye July disappeared and I find myself with the first week of August almost gone. I was trying to decide whether I should add a few more 'vacation' pictures but then figured you have had enough so I opted for the Fire Water Fall of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. I would love to see this spectacular view created by reflection of the sun at a specific angle. A very rare sight which only happens during a two week period at the end of February. The photographer had to wait for years to capture the picture of the falls formed by melting snow and ice during the months of December and January. It reminds me of the pictures shown on television last evening of the Northern Lights putting on a spectacular show in Canada and one of the northern states of the United States. I'll have to ask son John if he is being treated to the same show up there in Alaska.
Pencil Art, now someone has a lot of talent and imagination. What I enjoyed was the parable written along side the pictures which stated,
"1. Everything you do will always leave a mark. 2. You can always correct your mistakes.
3. What is important is what is inside of you. 4. In life, you will undergo painful sharpening, which will only make you better. 5. To be the pencil you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you. All, to encourage you to know you are special with God given talents and abilities guided by the hand of God." Pretty special eh?
So today, or any day you have a chance to hold a pencil in your hand, think about the words and the meaning and know you are a very special person with talents all your own and share them, like Jennifer did with her daughter's first college art project. I'm laughing as I think back and remember art work on the refrigerator door from this young lady and a few others I know. Um . . . Larry you must have a picture or two to send . . . I'll post them! Make today ring with laughter, walk about and get some exercise and if you pass by the bakery, buy one of those elephant ears, add a latte and blow a calorie or two, it's good for what ails you. Hugs to all.
